Clubhouse Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced and operationally focussed Food and Beverage professional to oversee the daily operations of our busy Clubhouse. This is not an office based role.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality demonstrating exceptional leadership skills to manage a diverse team effectively.

This role requires a passion for team development, a commitment to food safety, and the ability to create an inviting atmosphere for our members and guests.

Previous experience in menu creation and kitchens is essential.

Experience of managing a P&L with a turnover in excess of £1m is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of a busy Golf Clubhouse, ensuring high standards of service and hospitality.
  • Oversee food and drink preparation and production processes, ensuring compliance with the relevant food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Manage and develop Clubhouse staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance and morale.
  • Develop menus in collaboration with Head Chef, focusing on quality and seasonal ingredients.
  • Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and kitchen equipment, placing orders as necessary.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and customer areas in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in training new staff members on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
  • Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among all staff members.
  • Control staff and operating costs inline with budgeted expectations.
  • Merchandising.
  • Strong IT skills.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality or food service industry is essential.
  • Strong background in financial management of a Food and Beverage operation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Familiarity with food safety, hygiene standards and best practices is crucial.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with both staff and customers.
  • A passion for hospitality, coupled with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Margin-growth and cost control.
